I am a psychotherapist and psychodynamic counsellor working in Portchester, near Portchester, and in Archway, London. I have long experience working as a counsellor, many years working as a psychotherapist, and in the past working as a trainer for psychodynamic and humanistic counselling courses and working as a key worker in an addiction rehab. I will listen to you in confidential surroundings and help you to explore what brings you to therapy. I will work with you to help you gain greater understanding and make meaning of your life. This may lead you to greater freedom within yourself and the ability to make changes and new choices.
My way of working is founded on the basis that we are formed by our past experiences. Those that have been have been pushed away or forgotten, or remain unprocessed continue to affect our present life and limit our future. In psychotherapy or counselling it is possible to uncover this and free yourself up to make present day changes and choices less encumbered by old emotions, patterns of behaviour and past experiences.
